The Church ceiling was hand painted; completed in 1746; and has a marvellous 3-D effect with subtle shading. It was hand painted during 2008 by professional conservators; the result was striking and deserved to be properly lit,
The scheme CES suggested and installed has been very very successful indeed, not only does it show the ceiling to best effect,we also have the great benefit of better lighting at ground level--an added bonus and welcomed by the choir and congegation.
