Advances in lighting technology
over the last ten years have transformed the lighting
of church buildings. Every church now has access
to the lighting technology until recently only
available to great cathedrals due to cost and
complexity.
The key to our lighting solutions
is our very personal approach, giving you the
system that you want, at a cost you can afford,
installed by our specialist staff to our very
high standards and supported by our ongoing maintenance
service.
Our approach to church lighting
design is akin to theatre lighting design in that
we are seeking to create a number of pre-programmed
'scenes' tailored to different services and uses
of the building. For example you may want 'scenes'
for
- Sunday morning services with worship group
- 1662 Evensong
- Weddings
- Concerts
- Baptisms
- Candle-lit services
- Children's services etc. etc.
Each scene conveys a different
mood and may highlight different parts of the
building. Scenes are changed by the push of a
single button. Our systems need no special skills
to operate - its as easy as turning on a light.
Advances in lighting technology
mean that the running costs and bulb life of these
installations is much better than the older technologies.
We have access to a tremendous
range of fittings to suite any building from
the ultra-modern to the medieval and can when
necessary manufacture special
fittings to complement
the architecture of your building
We love churches, and look to
work with you to design a solution that will fit
your very individual needs and to bring out the
best in your building. Current regulations require
emergency lighting in public building such as
churches. We are expert at incorporating emergency
and amenity lighting sympathetically into the
overall scheme.
We don't confine our activities
to internal lighting. We have been involved in
external lighting for churches including Southwark
Cathedral, Methodist Hall Westminster, St Leonard's
church and 30 millennium projects.
